The Knitter's Magazine web site has been updated with the article about their Knitter of the Year, Karen Porter of Children in Common.
This weekend I'll be working on some more little socks for the cause.
I'm very happy that today is Friday.
After an especially inspiring post by Karen Porter to the CIC-Knit Yahoogroup, I have decided to dedicate as much time as possible to making more socks for the orphanages. I started a pair of my favorite pattern this afternoon and hope to have a photo for tomorrow's blog post.
Read more about Children in Common here. I haven't seen the Winter issue on the newstand yet, but Karen Porter was named 2007 Knitter of the Year by Knitter's Magazine. The book, Knitting for Peace, includes a profile of Children in Common and a reprint of Claudia Krisniski's basic sock pattern.
