It's time to break out this little image that I took 4 years ago at Dodger Stadium. 

The playoffs start tomorrow night and I'm hoping for the best but fearing the worst.  Playing the Cubs will not be easy.

Secret Pal 12

I received my reveal package from my Secret Pal earlier this week.  The lovely BeccaLou was my pal and she sent me another great package.

There were several scrapbooking/paper crafting items, a knitting-related hanging decoration titled "The Muse of Knitting" (so cool!), a rubber stamp for making labels for knitted items, a pretty shawl pattern and a skein of green Habu Textiles Bamboo yarn and a hand-stamped card.  Thanks so much for everything, Becca!

2008 Calendar

I've been tempted before to post about the strange quality of the patterns in the 2008 Knitting Patterns a Day calendar, but tried to follow the "don't say anything if you can't say something nice" advice we all get from our mamas at a early age.  However, today's pattern forces me to say something.  The pattern for September 20 & 21 is for a "Garter Blanket" from Bernat.  The instructions are cast on 85 stitches, knit back and forth on a size 15US circular needle in garter stitch for 45 inches. Cast off.  That's it!  Don't think I'll be buying the 2009 edition. 

Same time, next year

Last year on this day, I posted a cute picture of my sons.  I can't believe that another year has rolled around to their birthday.  Here's a photo of them at around 3 months of age.  My scanner isn't hooked up right now, so I took a digital photo of a print--quality not so good.  They still look cute, though.
