Post holiday catch-up

Yes,  it's been a long time with no posting.  The holiday crunch really got to me this year.  I stressed over gift buying right up to the last minute, but everything turned out fine.

My brother, sister-in-law and two nephews were able to come across the country for Christmas for the first time in many years. We had fun, but they weren't able to stay as long as we all would have liked.  Pictures may be posted soon...

I'm starting back on my diet as of New Year's day--too much snacking on cookies and other carbs.  Losing weight is on my list of 101 Things in 1001 Days.  I wracked my brains for most of the evening to come up with a list of 101 things I want to do in the next 2.75 years.  Some things will be easy and a few may never happen, but I'm planning to have fun trying.

I've done my list as a separate page so the blog isn't clogged with such a long post.  Updates will happen as needed.

I'm still here

I seem to have forgotten about posting now that November is past.  I've been tired every night this week and just haven't felt like downloading photos or posting.

Check out my new progress bars in the right sidebar.  Casey, the wonder coder at Ravelry worked up the javascript and I finally figured out how to make them work with Typepad.  There are lots of ways to customize the code, but I'm afraid to try them out for fear that they get broken.  Maybe this weekend when I've had some sleep.  Oh, and the links will take you to Ravelry, but not to the exact page if you aren't a member--sorry about that.  The invites are going out very quickly, so if you aren't a member now, you will be soon.

The cardigan is about 6" along now.  I can only work on that one when the intended giftee is away from home, so it's slow going for the time being.  The Hollyday socks are looking good and should be done this weekend.  Here's hoping for a chance to take some pictures.  We are supposed to get rain again tonight into Friday morning.
