Socks in a Tree & Babette

Vict_lace

Today, I finished my Victorian Lace socks for the SixSox Knitalong.  This was a very nice pattern.  The lace chart was easy to memorize and worked quickly.  I shorted the cuff by 1" to improve the fit and it worked out nicely.  The Fleece Artist Sea Wool is such great yarn and a real pleasure to knit.  I have another skein in my stash and will definitely get something started in the near future.  Please pardon the Hibiscus leaves poking out of the sock blocker; the twiggy branches wouldn't cooperate any other way.

Babettesquares

The Babette squares are still waiting for me to sew them together.  I will probably have to rip out what I've already done and move to Plan B.

The Mystery Stole is languishing-maybe tomorrow will be the day I get going again.

Not Much News

I really hate thinking up titles for my posts--please forgive my lack of creativity.

Things are quiet and I'm up early on a Sunday morning.  The Babette blanket squares are finished!  I started sewing them together yesterday.  That is going to take a long time-maybe I should have done the sections as they squares were finished.  The plan was to wait to get the best color placement since I wasn't using the recommended yarn.

The Mystery Stole 3 is moving along slowly.  The lacy pattern is very pretty but I can't work on it unless the conditions are perfect--plenty of light, plenty of rest, plenty of good mental attitude.  Needless to say, those conditions don't pop up every day.  I'll probably be among the last to finish.

When my eyes were glazed over by looking at the MS3 chart, I started the second Victorian Lace sock.  This is a really nice pattern and the Sea Wool is such a great yarn.
