Since finishing up Shedir, I have made one of the Victorian Lace socks from the Six Socks Knitalong and started a Babette Blanket. Big mistake in starting another project before casting on for the second sock. I'm obsessing about Babette and don't want to go back to the socks. I'm using Tahki Cotton Classic. This is may seem like a strange choice, but I'm liking it so far. The yarn is what I bought to make a mitered square blanket from Mason-Dixon Knitting. My mitering skills were lacking and I quickly abandoned that project. Here's a photo of my first square:
I'm following advice I read on someone's blog and starting with the bigger squares so it won't seem to take as long to finish the later squares.
Here's the first Victorian Lace sock--just to remind me of what I should be working on. The sock is now finished and awaiting another photo shoot. I might start sock #2 and take it to work on during my lunch hour. The Sea Wool is great and I will definitely be using it soon for another project.
