In no particular order, here are some of the highlights from this week. I went to the Bolsa Chica Wetlands twice, made a from-scratch peach pie, took pictures of backyard birds, finished the gift for my One Skein Secret Pal and broke my little toe. Do n't click the broken toe link if you are the squemish type.

I went to the Wetlands this morning. This was my first visit since the opening of the new tidal inlet. It was early and not many birds were out, but the trail from the boardwalk bridge is now open. Too bad I wasn't able to walk far due to the broken toe.

My gift will be off in the mail on Monday. This was a fun project to make and very quick-to-knit. This has been my longest post in forever, so I'll leave you for nowand be off to elevate my foot.
