Wow, I had no idea that it has been so long since I made a new post. Blame it on holiday preparations and celebrations. Christmas was fun and everything worked out-just like it always does. No matter how much worrying I do beforehand, it all turns out o.k. The new year came in quietly and that is just the way I like it to happen. Unfortunately, I have no more holidays off until Memorial Day :( Must try not to think about that sad fact.
Here is my first new project of 2005. This scarf is a special request from Chris. I ran out of time and inspiration before Christmas. Mom and I made a trip to Alamitos Bay Yarn Co. to pick up enough Plymouth Encore for the scarf and matching hat. That's about 10 inches worth of scarf.
This is a close-up shot of the pattern. I'm using the Garter and Rib pattern from Barbara G. Walker's Learn-to-Knit Afghan Book. Not sure I'll ever finish the afghan, but the individual stitch patterns are great.
