Here's a new photo of Shorty. Those are rose petals all over the ground. This week's wind and rain were hard on the plants. Part of our fence caved in, too. More rain is supposed to be here tomorrow. That does not make me happy--I need to see sunshine every day.
Wow, I had no idea that it has been so long since I made a new post. Blame it on holiday preparations and celebrations. Christmas was fun and everything worked out-just like it always does. No matter how much worrying I do beforehand, it all turns out o.k. The new year came in quietly and that is just the way I like it to happen. Unfortunately, I have no more holidays off until Memorial Day :( Must try not to think about that sad fact.
Here is my first new project of 2005. This scarf is a special request from Chris. I ran out of time and inspiration before Christmas. Mom and I made a trip to Alamitos Bay Yarn Co. to pick up enough Plymouth Encore for the scarf and matching hat. That's about 10 inches worth of scarf.
This is a close-up shot of the pattern. I'm using the Garter and Rib pattern from Barbara G. Walker's Learn-to-Knit Afghan Book. Not sure I'll ever finish the afghan, but the individual stitch patterns are great.
