I am certainly happy that this 3-day weekend is finally here--the past week has been rough and I look forward to doing as little as possible until Tuesday.

I started working on a major knitting project. I'm making the afghan detailed in Barbara G. Walker's Learn-to-Knit Afghan book. The yarn is Encore worsted in off-white, purple and two shades of green. The first 3 squares went quickly, but I can already tell that finishing and joining them will be interesting.
