Welcome to my first ever post for an Operation Write Home blog hop! If you reached my blog in mid-hop, be sure to check back at the Stars and Stamps blog to see all the great sites from the beginning.
I made my card using a plain white base and a tag cut with the new Tag & Bookplate die by Tim Holtz The small bookplate is also part of the die. The stamped sentiment is by Hero Arts.
The pink paper is also designed by Tim Holtz. It is from the Vintage Shabby paper stack. I used the small heart shape from Tim's Seasonal Mask package and sprayed over it with a red Glimmer Mist, leaving a lighter outline of the heart after the mask was removed from the tag.
The final touches are some lightweight ribbon from Club Scrap and a heart-shaped button from my stash.
I hope that you enjoy this card. I am offering a small package of blog candy to one lucky winner. Leave a comment on this post by November 20, and I will do a random drawing to choose a winner. Here is a photo of the goodies I picked out for my first giveaway.
That's a small sentiment stamp from Club Scrap, a new water pen, buttons from Papertrey Ink, 2 Staz-On ink pads, crystals from Bo-Bunny and some bling by Heidi Swapp. There may or may not be a surprise or two that haven't yet been chosen.
As a reminder to fellow cardmakers for Operation Write Home, the deadline for Christmas cards has now passed for this year. We are moving on to cards for Valentine's Day. The deadline for sending Valentine's Day cards is January 7, 2011.
Another way to help Operation Write Home is to vote in Joann.com's Craft For a Cause contest. Vote every day, once a day!
